Becoming a lunatic

Remember when you were young? And you didn't care if the sky was near or was far, you didn't care it as black or as blue, if it carried a sun or a moon or even if it was there at all. And you didn't mind if the ground was still on your feet or somewhere else. Or if the road turned left or it turned right, went up or went down. You just cared to be on it, forward till the horizon, up and forward, forward to where your feet guided you. And you didn't see if the wind was of steel or the tide was too hard as long as you were running against them. And you could even dare to be apart cause being distant didn't mean being far and because being alone didn't mean being on your self, not even a little, not even at all. If you couldn't speak you could feel and if you couldn't feel you could know. You knew who you are, how you feel, who's with you and where you are. Your past, your present and your future, and the cause of all this. Your eyes glowed in joy, your heart grew at each hug.

Now there's this look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky. You cry for the moon and think it is far, remembering how some time ago you knew it was close. Threatened by shadows, having harsh nights, and walking without destination nor direction, exposed in the light. Wishing people to be there, not knowing they're just where you are. Fearing what is to come, when you should already know what's ment to happen. Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far, if dead or alive, happy or sad. Now you can't tell pain from joy, and much less take joy out of pain. Losing hope, losing faith, losing love. Missing them, wishing her, having none.

What are you wating for? Is it so hard to move away from the train that's coming? Come on, just go ahead for it. Know what you want, stay focused on it and work for it. You've been worse. Let your hugs be strong again and your eyes glow. Open your arms wide and fly. Throw yourself to the abism and hope. Have faith and move the mountain. Love and give your life a direction once more.

Come on now, ¡shine on you crazy diamond!
